Um, no.
Look at it from the perspective of the co-op board — they’re a mini-community, and they function pretty well, and they’re gearing up to invite you, a total stranger, into their midst. If they guess wrong and you stop paying your maintenance, it comes out of everybody’s pocket.
The way to get started with this people is not to assume that they might steal from you!
Honestly, the original questioner should never have been put in a co-op situation in the first place; someone this protective of her privacy should be a condo buyer.
But since what’s done is done, hand in the package, and ask your agent nicely to return all the copies after the interview process is over. Then you can shred them yourself.
